I would like, however, to mention my personal favorite places – venues I visit often – each of which has something truly unique to offer.

VAROULKO
The place where Greece’s most renowned and award-winning chef, who honors me with his friendship, Lefteris Lazarou, teaches the art of the sea.
Having been the first to create culinary trends, he continues to evolve them in his own unique way, in Mikrolimano.
It is very likely that Lefteris himself will come by to greet you and engage in conversation, with the kindness and immediacy that define his character.

ALFIERE
The most private Italian dining spot in Athens, located on Sekeri Street.
My friend Tasos Tsakalos, deeply passionate about authentic Italian flavors and style, created – 22 years ago – the ultimate Italian point of reference in the city.
A Venetian chandelier, specially commissioned, sets the tone.
The finest wine labels accompany exceptional recipes.
Having lived in Italy for many years, I must say that Alfiere is simply the best Italian restaurant in Athens.
The finest service in the city, offered by Mr. Giannis and Mr. Nikos.

RATKA
What can one say about the most classic meeting spot in the city center?
I first visited Ratka many years ago with my brotherly friend Giannis Brekoulakis, and for a long time we had established a weekly ritual of dining there.
The restaurant takes its name from its owner, a historic lady who, for decades, has been there every single evening, overseeing everything.
BLUE PINE
My favorite restaurant in Kifissia.
Classy & Classic.
Generations have grown up here – from guests to waiters – with my friend Sotiris always present.
Exceptional service with style and courtesy, a unique garden with fer forgé details, and classic gourmet cuisine.
The tableside preparation of various dishes on the trolley is truly unique.
ALBION
The most beautiful garden in Psychiko.
Located close to my office, it is an almost daily haunt of mine.
My friend Pavlos Giavis, together with Nektarios Nikolopoulos, have been continuing this journey for 15 years, always with renewed ideas and great enthusiasm.
The finest moments are undoubtedly the brunches.
MANZAROU 3
On a small street just below Solonos Street, inside a historic neoclassical building, lies one of my favorite spots.
Twelve years ago, Vangelis Pitteros, together with Giannis Martatos, took a bold step in what was then a neglected area.
Legendary parties, an incredible small private rooftop, great music, and a particularly friendly atmosphere.
Now refreshed and renewed, it awaits us once again.
