Mostra
[ssba]

Arriving a bit late to the opening of a friend’s restaurant, I found myself disappointed by certain people
Some dress in an overly extravagant, showy way – and they’re invited exactly so they can be displayed
They aren’t guests meant to enjoy the evening, but props for exhibition
They remind me a bit of a circus
People no longer look at them with admiration
There is something rather pathetic about this parade of supposed “style” from individuals who invest countless hours preparing themselves just for mostra.
Style is not forced display
It is the natural expression of beauty, without excess
