Ralph Lauren returns

In recent days, the menswear world hasn’t stopped talking about Ralph Lauren’s return to the international stage. At the recent Fall/Winter 2026 show at Milan Fashion Week, the legendary American designer made his first standalone menswear presentation in over a decade.

The collection blended two of the brand’s most iconic lines, Polo Ralph Lauren and Purple Label, showcasing a journey through the codes that have defined Lauren’s aesthetic for more than six decades. From ’90s nostalgia with fleece, camo, and relaxed denim to refined Ivy League influences, the show highlighted just how deeply Lauren has shaped modern menswear.

Some of the standout pieces included checked suits styled with duck boots and hunting caps, along with earthy colour palettes and heritage fabrics like herringbone and plaid – emphasising the quiet luxury of Purple Label. The inclusion of Indigenous craftsmanship and collaborations with the Authentic Makers programme, such as the brand TÓPA and artist Neil Zarama, added cultural depth to the collection.

In a landscape where many brands borrow from Ralph Lauren’s visual language, the designer’s return served as a clear reminder that when the original creator comes back, the difference is unmistakable.
