Sean Wotherspoon’s Rare 1958 Land Rover Series

Sean Wotherspoon teams up with restoration atelier Stuff by Spot to present a standout revival of the rare 1958 Land Rover Series 2, balancing authenticity and contemporary design. The left-hand-drive vehicle, made in England and sent to Canada in 1959, spent over 40 years with the same engineer before returning to the UK in 2002. It’s believed to be one of only three models in the country still riding on its original chassis.

The rebuild spanned four months in an Essex workshop — preserving as many original panels as possible, while upgrading the engine and gearbox. Discreet modern features include a CarPlay-enabled steering setup, built-in rear speakers, and Wolf alloy wheels, enhancing functionality without compromising identity.

Debuting at Monterey Car Week, it captured attention not just as a preserved vintage piece, but as a rolling moodboard — weaving heritage, color, and a fresh aesthetic twist. Similar in concept to Wotherspoon’s Porsche 2.7 RS, it leans into a more subtle yet powerful mode of expression.
