TAG Heuer, the iconic Swiss watchmaker, honors its rich motorsport heritage with the release of three new Monaco models, inspired by the Monaco Grand Prix and the Indianapolis 500. These limited editions combine racing aesthetics with high-end watchmaking, offering unique pieces for collectors and motorsport enthusiasts alike.
The first model, the Monaco Chronograph Stopwatch, draws inspiration from the legendary Heuer stopwatches of the 1960s and ’70s. It features a 39mm titanium case with a black DLC coating and high-contrast sub-dials, paying tribute to the precision of vintage racing timers. Equipped with the Calibre 11 movement and a perforated black leather strap, the watch is limited to 970 pieces—a number referencing the 1970s, a pivotal decade for TAG Heuer’s racing history.
The second model, the Monaco Chronograph x Gulf, is a collaboration with Gulf Oil and pays homage to Steve McQueen’s iconic appearance in the 1971 film Le Mans. With its signature blue and orange color scheme, the watch comes with a 39mm stainless steel case and the Calibre 11 movement. This edition is limited to 971 pieces, referencing the year the film was released.
The third and most technically advanced model is the Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph 2025. This timepiece incorporates the Calibre TH81-00 movement, allowing for the simultaneous measurement of two time intervals.
With these new releases, TAG Heuer strengthens its ties to motorsport by offering watches that fuse history, technology, and racing culture. Each model is a unique proposition for those who value precision, style, and the brand’s enduring legacy.
