It was then that she became an icon, still adored. Schneider in the early 60s moved to France and quickly attracted the interest of Orson Welles who gave her a leading role in the legendary transfer of the Kafka&#8217; Trial play to the silver screen. During the 70s, Romy Schneider met director, Claude Sautet, shooting five of the most important films of both their careers: <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Les choses de la vie, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Max et les ferrailleurs, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">C\u00e9sar et Rosalie, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Une histoire simple &amp; <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mado.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-40518 aligncenter img-responsive img-center\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mancodestyle.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/RS4-1024x671.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"671\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mancodestyle.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/RS4-1024x671.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.mancodestyle.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/RS4-600x393.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.mancodestyle.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/RS4-300x197.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.mancodestyle.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/RS4-768x503.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.mancodestyle.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/RS4.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Schneider was already established as an icon in France by working with Sautet when she starred in the highly demanding &#8220;Le Train&#8221; of the French director Pierre Granier-Deferre and the films: Les innocents Aux Mains Sales and Le Vieux Fusil by Rod Steiger whilst L &#8216;important C&#8217;est d&#8217;aimer was the one to bring her the Cesar Award.
