Two concepts that are not compatible. If some frenetic engineer developed a way to turn testosterone into a car, no doubt the result would be the G-Class. And indeed it did happen in 1979 when the German car manufacturer introduced the &#8216;Gel\u00e4ndewagen&#8217; (terrain vehicle) with an unexpected cuboid design and a beastly engine. Mercedes&#8217; original plan was to build the G-Class as a military vehicle, with subsequent discussions with Austrian Steyr-Daimler-Puch resulting in a civilian version with &#8220;uncompromising on- and off-road capabilities&#8221;.
