BMW began to chart its course in engineering at a time when the first engines it built were intended for aircraft. However, after 1923 it began building its own motorcycles and mounted the engine transversely to the frame, which became a trademark. The R32 was the first motorcycle ever produced by BMW and featured a 494 cc M2B33 engine, producing 8.5 hp and reaching a top speed of 95 km\/h. A particularly rare motorcycle that for its time pioneered both design and engineering. Due to its success, BMW created a sporty version, the R39, which deservedly established the R-series dynamics in later models. This R39 bears the original chassis numbers on its frame and, according to verified information, was delivered on 24\/07\/1924 to the dealer BMW Auto-Klein in Munich.<\/p>\n
