On 8 August 1969, four guys from Liverpool crossed Abbey Road outside EMI Studios in Westminster. The photographic snapshot graced the cover of the Beatles’ 11th album and the songs on the album became iconic, leaving their mark on rock music. State Bicycle Co’s collaboration with the Beatles is a little out of the ordinary, but the result combines retro design with a sophisticated aesthetic. The 4130 Abbey Road bike, named after the road made famous by the Liverpudlians, is dressed in a subtle and stylish paint job. The Brooks saddle and rear rack with backpacks add to the vintage feel, while the modern touches and eight-speed Sunrace RD-R81 gears give the bike a contemporary riding feel that, however, when observed in motion, would not look out of place in the 1960s.<\/p>\n
