The Arctic Bath in Lule\u00e4lven is a floating arctic bath, with several accommodation options. The exterior of the circular open-air bath, designed by architects Bertil Harstr\u00f6m and Johan Kauppi, is covered in tree trunks as an ode to the area’s river past. The Arctic Bath is a year-round destination: in summer it floats freely in the waters and in winter it freezes in place. The Arctic Bath features a cold bath in the center of the building, three saunas, an arctic spa, restaurant, lounge and a bar.<\/p>\n

In the surrounding landscape, there are various cabins for visitors who wish to spend the night. The 24 square meter ‘water’ cabins are connected to the shore by a floating walkway and the elevated 62 square meter ‘land’ cabins offer a different type of accommodation.\"\"Norrbotten, which is located in the extreme north-east of Sweden, is both a county and a province. Its area of 100,000 square kilometers, which includes coasts and archipelagos in the east, as well as high mountains in the west, is bordered by Finland and Norway. Towns like Kiruna, Pite\u00e5, Lule\u00e5 and Haparanda are located there – it’s a region of Swedish Lapland and Sweden’s undiscovered gem.<\/p>\n
