The Carpenters Workshop Gallery’s new restaurant in London, Pollini at Ladbroke Hall, brings together the skills of two Italian creatives \u2013 chef Emanuele Pollini and architect Vincenzo De Cotiis \u2013 under the vaulted roof of London’s new destination for art, design, music and food.<\/p>\n

The duo have joined forces before, with gallery co-founders Lo\u00efc Le Gaillard and Julien Lombrail getting their first taste of Emanuele Pollini’s work at a dinner hosted by De Cotiis in Milan. “We felt it was rare to find someone who could put so much emotion into a pasta dish,” says Le Gaillard. “And as with all of our artists, we were looking for a chef who could tell a story.”<\/p>\n

Seated at tables of hand-patinated, recycled fiberglass \u2013 also designed by the architect \u2013 guests will travel to Emanuele Pollini’s childhood in Italy. In the chef’s homage to his mother’s lasagna, for example, the Italian classic is reborn as ravioli, served with dried ragu “chips” that recall the sumptuous crust of the original dish.<\/p>\n

At Ladbroke Hall, art, design and linguine ai ricci are also accompanied by jazz on Friday nights and guests will also be able to enjoy an aperitif in ‘Lamyland’, a bar, lounge & recording studio designed by French designer- artist Mich\u00e8le Lamy (partner of fashion designer Rick Owens).<\/p>\n
