Joseph Drouhin is one of the most important producers in Burgundy. The winery was created in 1880 in Beaune, then grew and acquired vineyards in other areas of Burgundy, making wines of different speeds, from entry level Burgundies to wines from very expensive Grand Cru vineyards from the red variety Pinot Noir and the white Chardonnay.<\/p>\n

Some of the most famous vineyards are in his possession, such as that of Clos des Mouches and of Montrachet, from where he also produces the famous Marquis de Laguiche. The winery that it has today was started by Robert Drouhin in 1957, buying land in other appellations in France and abroad, such as the vineyard in Oregon, America in 1988. Currently, Robert’s four children, Philippe, Veronique, Laurent and Frederic, maintain the principles and values \u200b\u200bof their father by producing high-quality wines.<\/p>\n

Marquis de Laguiche is a wine produced in a very small acreage, with manual harvesting and strict sorting of the grapes and then additional control and sorting in the winery, so that only the best quality grapes reach the bottle. The grapes are carefully crushed, taking only the first fruit and then taken to the barrels, where approximately 25% is new and remains in them for 15 to 18 months. Its color is light golden, with an extremely intense and complex nose, aromas of butter, oak, nuts, tropical and stone fruit juicy fruits, aromas of herbs, mineral and mineral character. In the mouth it is dry with sharp acidity, rich body, oily texture and long aftertaste. I would dare to say that it is one of the most complete wines I have ever tasted. Enjoy it with lightly saut\u00e9ed lobster, beurre blanc sauce and asparagus.<\/p>\n
