And then there are those like Sam Sauvage, who carve out their own road\u2014alone, in rooms filled with old posters and dreams.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"289\" data-end=\"833\">Self-taught and a multi-instrumentalist, Sam grew up with the melodies of Gainsbourg and the watchful eyes of Jim Morrison staring at him from the wall. He began posting videos from his student room, playing guitar, piano, and synth, crafting sounds that sometimes echoed the old Paris, and at other times, the late-night hum of Los Angeles. From there, his songs traveled across social media, through festivals like <em data-start=\"706\" data-end=\"722\">Imagine Sweden<\/em>, and onto the stage of \u201cPop Up\u201d in Paris, where he proved that you don\u2019t need much\u2014just authenticity and soul.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"835\" data-end=\"1443\">His music feels like a black-and-white photograph that still holds the scent of rain. In <em data-start=\"924\" data-end=\"933\">See You<\/em>, he sings: <em data-start=\"945\" data-end=\"1044\">\u201cShe came into the bar, soaked from the rain \/ Were those tears from what I told her last night?\u201d<\/em> While in <em data-start=\"1054\" data-end=\"1064\">La Ville<\/em>, he sketches the contradictions of the city: <em data-start=\"1110\" data-end=\"1243\">\u201cAt night I lose myself in bourgeois and commercial districts \/ I often feel the ground trembling under my feet\u2014they call it hell.\u201d<\/em> With every lyric, Sam Sauvage walks the line between tenderness and loss. As he says in <em data-start=\"1332\" data-end=\"1349\">La Fin Du Monde<\/em>: <em data-start=\"1351\" data-end=\"1443\">\u201cIt\u2019s the end of the world \/ We didn\u2019t see it coming \/ Give us a second \/ Before we land.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1445\" data-end=\"1664\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">His new EP arrives on May 23, 2025, and the world already seems ready to embrace him once again\u2014a world where a simple moment in the bathroom (<em data-start=\"1588\" data-end=\"1606\">Dans la Bathroom<\/em>) or a sip of creamy coffee (<em data-start=\"1635\" data-end=\"1647\">Caf\u00e9-Cr\u00e8me<\/em>) becomes poetry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Marianina Patsa Sam Sauvage: A Voice That Smells Like Rain and Sunrise There are artists born into grand halls, following carefully mapped-out paths.
