1967 Porsche 911 Targa Soft Window

This stunning 1967 Porsche 911 Targa, with a beautiful green color that immediately catches the eye, is one of 483 911S Soft Window Targa cars built for North America in 1967. And it is undoubtedly one of the most attractive.

This Porsche underwent a high-level restoration in 2007, making it a must-have addition to any serious, classic Porsche collector. Originally delivered to Leon C Felton Co. in San Rafael, California through Porsche Car Pacific Inc. and records show that the original engine was replaced under warranty by the current engine, number 961558. It was customized with extra features including driver- side sun visor with vanity mirror, New York Blaupunkt radio with speaker and antenna, and a Talbot exclusive side mirror driver.

The 911 Targa was launched in the 1967 model year, coinciding with the introduction of the top-tier 911S model. The “S” variant elevated the 2.0-liter engine’s power from 130 horsepower at 6,100 rpm to 160 horsepower at 6,600 rpm. This enhancement was achieved by raising the compression ratio to 9:8.1, increasing the size of both intake and exhaust valves, and extending the duration these valves remained open.
