76th Festival de Cannes

Just a few days ago, the 76th Cannes International Film Festival opened its official curtain at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, the historic home of the film institution, located on the Promenade de la Croisette. The festival, which celebrates and honours the art of cinema, began with the premiere of “Jeanne du Barry”, a French biographical film with dramatic elements, the plot of which focuses on Madame du Barry. Signed by French actress, writer and director Maïwenn, the film stars Johnny Depp, Pierre Richard, Benjamin Lavernhe Noémie Lvovsky, Pascal Greggory, Melvil Poupaud and India Hair. In addition to the film premieres, however, of equal interest is another art form that combines with the glamour of cinema and always takes centre stage at these events. Fashion, of course, which once again shone through the red carpet appearances of the guests.
