IQ 160

Until recently, I believed that those with a high intelligence quotient, the famous IQ, excel in whatever field they happen to engage in. Watching the television series HPI (Haute Potentiel Intellectuel), which, to keep the reader’s interest, has been sold in its French version to 105 countries and adapted in 5—including Greece (Cosmote TV)—I discovered that one can be extremely intelligent yet, like Morgane, the protagonist of the series, work as a cleaning lady in a police station. I will not reveal the continuation of the plot, but I would suggest to the officials of the Ministry of Education that HPI be shown in schools. Why? Because it is a treasure trove of knowledge, even if I cannot go into further detail. Nevertheless, the sharp-minded among you will suspect what follows. Beyond the three screenwriters, the show is stolen by French actress Audrey Fleurot, 48 years old, now in the fifth season. She is amazing! In our country, for the leading role chosen by Barking Well Media, owned by Nikos Koklonis, is Smaragda Karydi. Also amazing! At its premiere on the frequency of the STAR television channel, Greek viewers gave the series IQ 160, as the local adaptation is titled, the top spot, with a 22.7% audience share in the 18–54 demographic. X (formerly Twitter) praised the adaptation and its protagonists—Nikos Kouris highly convincing in the role of the constipated police officer Karadek—while many users participated with comments, during the broadcast, in solving the cases. This past June, through a trailer, the channel announced the third season of the crime-comedy series, which we, the eager viewers, await with anticipation.
