A landmark of Saronic Gulf

The Poseidonion Grand Hotel has been a landmark on the horizon of Spetses for the last 100 years, with its exceptional architecture referring to the hotels of the Côte d’Azur. The hotel, which first opened in 1914, was the brainchild of Sotirios Anargyros, a visionary benefactor who was responsible for much of the development of Spetses. Moreover, it represented the cosmopolitan face of the island and soon became one of its famous landmarks, quickly becoming a favourite destination for high society, royalty and wealthy Athenians. The hotel building is now divided into the New and the Historic Wing, which includes superior and deluxe rooms and suites, all of which have unparalleled views of the Dapia harbour area and the Argosaronic Gulf. The interiors and rooms are characterized by a soft blend of white and neutral colors that define understated elegance and include high ceilings, flowing layered curtains, wooden floors and a balance between modern and antique furniture. The Poseidonion Grand Hotel was the first in Greece to offer guests personalized spa treatments. Unwind with organic spa treatments – massages, facials and body treatments – at the hotel’s Idolo Spa.
