In 1998, entrepreneur Jack Penrod and his wife, Lucia, introduced the world to Nikki Beach—the first luxury beach club concept that seamlessly combines music, fine dining, entertainment, fashion, film, and art. Today, as Nikki Beach celebrates its 21st anniversary, the club has evolved into a global luxury hospitality brand with 14 beach clubs, 4 hotels and resorts, a lifestyle division (including fashion boutiques and a magazine publication), signature events, and Nikki Cares 501(c)(3), a nonprofit charitable organization.
In his book “Nikki Beach – Celebration of Life”, published by Assouline, author Jim Dobson honors the 21-year legacy of this global phenomenon. Having written for Forbes for years, Dobson has collaborated and traveled with some of the world’s most famous and wealthiest individuals. He first visited a Nikki Beach location in France after college and has admired the club’s relaxed, seaside vibe and cosmopolitan clientele ever since.
