I started skiing in my childhood, when my parents enrolled me in the Mountaineering Club
Every year I would ride those old lifts—the metal chairlifts—and enjoy the magical silence of the Greek mountains
I even took part in a few competitions, though I never truly stood out, probably because I was impatient and careless, often forgetting a few gates in slalom
After many experiences in almost all of Greece’s ski resorts –
Parnassos, Velouchi, Pelion, Tria Pente Pigadia, Vorras, Seli, Lailias, Mainalo –
during my student years I got my first taste of the Alps.
Different slopes, a different story, a different style
That’s where a long-term relationship with these places began: Austria, France, Italy, Switzerland
So, I would like to present my favorite skiing destinations:
In Austria, I single out Lech and Seefeld
In France, Chamonix–Mont Blanc
In Italy, Cortina d’Ampezzo
In Switzerland, St. Moritz and Zermatt
