The Kawasaki W650, produced from 1999 to 2007, was a retro throwback to 1960s British standards, with this model remaining one of the most beautiful factory bikes, combining vintage aesthetics and remarkable performance. Modern handling, engine and reliability make for a jewel of a motorcycle. Rick Hannah of London’s Dirty Dick’s Motos, who says he is more often paid with a beer than money, is sure to start taking more orders and recognition following his stunning rebuild of the W650, nicknamed the “Posh Sled”. It’s changed both mechanically and externally, but retains the authenticity and spirit of a machine that clearly looks like it’s ready to escape.
