With a unique eye and exquisite aesthetic focus, German photographer Peter Lindbergh (1944–2019) became one of the world’s most prominent fashion photographers. Most recognize his iconic 1990s portraits of supermodels such as Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Kate Moss and actresses and artists such as Kate Winslet, Uma Thurman, Mick Jagger and Alicia Vikander. His unique images have influenced generations of photographers, designers and other creators. The Lightness of Being exhibition presents photographs from the full range of Peter Lindbergh’s vast career at Fotografiska Stockholm. It is a close collaboration with the Peter Lindbergh Foundation, led by the photographer’s son, Benjamin Lindbergh.
