Indian ocean resort

Nomadic Resorts in collaboration with Bo Reudler Studio teamed up to design the stunning Wild Coast Tented Lodge in Sri Lanka. Sustainability, breathtaking scenery and cultural heritage coexist in the design giving it the look and feel of an African camp. The eco-resort, located on the edge of the Yala National Park in the south of Sri Lanka, merges with the rugged sandy coastline overlooking the Indian Ocean. The five-star lodge is designed to offer guests a traditional local experience, celebrating nature with minimal interference with the landscape. Local influences are an integral part, as the architecture blends in with the natural formations of the Yala landscape. It consists of cocoon-like tents set on the edge of the jungle and beach. Surrounded by bamboo, the main lodge looks like a rock that stretches along the coast. Guests can sample a modern take on traditional Sri Lankan cuisine at the hotel’s restaurant.
