More than a classic

For the first time in almost 25 years, one of the most desirable Ferraris ever built is being auctioned off through Sotheby’s Sealed. This 250 GT LWB Berlinetta “Tour de France” LWB 250 GT is one of five built by the legendary Italian manufacturer and finished 2nd in class at the 1957 Mille Miglia. It was the last car to receive the distinctive double-bubble roof and in addition it retained its original engine throughout the years without any modifications to any part of it. In more than a dozen races of the era, the 250 GT made 10 podium finishes, of which it won the class title five times. The auction will be held August 16-19 in Monterey, California.
