Cradled on the shore of Lugu Lake in Sichuan, China, The ArcadiaPlace evokes quiet, natural beauty and the heritage of the Mosuo people. The hotel is formed by three villas built using traditional rammed-earth techniques, reclining gently into the landscape, each room boasting a balcony with views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
Inside, warmth prevails: natural textures like stone and wood, earthy tones, decorative details inspired by Mosuo dress, stained glass that dances with light, and bathtubs in lake-coloured hues. The lobby’s towering ceiling and full-glass facade toward the lake impress.
There is a restaurant and bar, a spa and yoga studio, and on the fifth floor a rooftop infinity pool and a square where guests can move freely — a meeting of human, nature and sky. Adjacent to two traditional Mosuo villages, the hotel offers more than just lodging: it’s a dip into an ancient culture.
