Under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello, Saint Laurent is supporting Charlotte Gainsbourg’s first solo photography exhibition, marking a new chapter in the long-standing relationship between the French actress, musician, and the iconic fashion house. Titled “5bis,” the exhibition is presented at Galerie du 19M in Paris and reveals a deeply personal artistic perspective through Gainsbourg’s photography.
The exhibition features more than twenty previously unseen photographs taken inside 5 bis Rue de Verneuil, the legendary Paris home once shared by her parents, Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin. Through these intimate images, Gainsbourg explores memory, family history, and the emotional atmosphere of a place that occupies a unique position in French cultural heritage.
Saint Laurent’s involvement reflects the fashion house’s growing commitment to cultural initiatives, with Anthony Vaccarello continuing to expand the brand’s presence beyond fashion through exhibitions, film productions, and collaborations with leading artists. The project further strengthens the dialogue between fashion, photography, and contemporary art.
