Assouline, known for its luxurious coffee table books that blend art, culture, and travel, has introduced its latest collection titled “The Library Collection”. This series, created in collaboration with French designer Pierre Favresse, is inspired by the personal heirlooms of the Assouline family, collected during their travels around the world.

The first series, called “The Essentials”, includes items like bookends, display stands, storage boxes, trays, picture frames, backgammon sets, hourglasses, and magnifying glasses. Each piece is crafted from high-quality materials, such as wood, soft leather, and brass, and comes in signature Assouline shades like red, camel, and brown.

Alexandre Assouline, the company’s president, explains: “I wanted to include every essential item one would expect in a modern library, while also adding some eclectic touches. I started by thinking about what is considered essential: bookends and display stands were obvious choices. Magnifying glasses were equally important — perfect for reading old manuscripts. I also liked the idea of including a backgammon set, adding a playful, interactive element to the space.”

“The Library Collection” by Assouline offers a unique opportunity for those who want to create a space that blends a passion for books with a refined design aesthetic. It’s the ideal choice for those looking to add a touch of luxury and cultural sophistication to their library or living space.
