Frontier’s free spirit

Bulleit Bourbon is a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey. Its high rye content and iconic bottle, inspired by frontier culture, make it particularly popular with bartenders and mixologists worldwide.

Wanting to make a bourbon unlike any other, Tom Bulleit was inspired by a more than 175-year-old recipe created by his great-great-grandfather, Augustus Bulleit. Made with pure water, filtered through limestone, and aged in smoked American oak barrels for color and flavor, Bulleit has a particularly high rye content, which gives it a bold, spicy character with a characteristically velvety, clean aftertaste.

Founded in 1987, Bulleit is one of the fastest growing whiskeys in America. The Bulleit Frontier Whiskey portfolio is distilled and aged in the Bulleit family tradition, using a signature rye recipe, which gives them a bold, spicy, yet subtly smooth taste. The award-winning Kentucky whiskey recently won a double gold medal for Bulleit 10 Year Old and gold medals for Bulleit Bourbon and Bulleit Rye at the 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

In 2017, Bulleit celebrated its 30th anniversary with the opening of a new, state-of-the-art distillery located in Shelbyville, KY. Crafted with an emphasis on sustainable practices, including protecting natural habitats, water conservation and local sourcing of ingredients, BDC received the Highly Commended Award for Sustainable Distillery of the Year at Whiskey Magazine’s 2020 Icons of Whiskey Awards.
