The Abu in Acropolis

by Christos Zampounis

She came to Athens to sing at a birthday party. During his stay, he expressed the desire to visit the Holy Rock of the Acropolis after his wife. The lot fell to the writer, due to the recommendation of a mutual friend. What was my surprise when searching, primarily on the Internet, I discovered the extent of his fame. Let me be more clear. One of his hits, “3 Dagat”, has 735,000,000 views on You Tube. Which was also of national content, I was satisfied when I saw, a few hours later, the instastories he uploaded of the Herodeion, the Parthenon and the Acropolis Museum on his Instagram account, with his 207,000 followers. Let’s continue with the surprises. Walking along Dionysiou Areopagitou, I showed him the house of Vangelis Papathanasiou. By the time we reached the entrance to the Museum, he whistled, in perfect musical rendition, the purpose of ‘Chariots of Fire’. What, however, was his disappointment when he learned that the original sculptures of the friezes, metopes and pediments of the Parthenon are “hosted” in the British Museum in London. A question from Nahal, his wife, about the broken noses of the statues gave me the opportunity to enrich my knowledge from this tour. The same had happened to the nose of the Sphinx from a cannon of Napoleon’s troops, he informed me. Coincidence of high advice. Nehal Leheta, as her full name is, has undertaken, as an interior designer, the design of the Pyramids area, so we had two stars as guests at Kleinon Asti.
Salaam alaikum! Peace to you, beloved Egyptians!
