Fabio Viale’s tattoo sculptures pay homage to ancient statues, now seen through a contemporary pespective.

Using an unusual combination of texture and color, the sculptor Viale, born in Cuneo, Italy in 1975, creates replicas of classic marble sculptures, the main feature of which is that they are not painted on their surface – the Italian artist does not paint anything on the marble after all , but uses ink that penetrates the material in the same way that the tattoo ink penetrates the human skin.

His sculptures have been exhibited in Italy, Russia, Germany and the USA.
